Course Content
Delegates will learn to:
- Understand the roles, duties, and responsibilities of a telehandler operator.
- Identify main components, controls, and safety systems of a 360° rotating telehandler.
- Conduct pre-use inspections and report defects in line with NPORS and manufacturer requirements.
- Set up the machine correctly, including stabilisers and outriggers.
- Understand and apply rated capacity charts and load indicators.
- Operate the telehandler safely using forks, jibs, and lifting attachments.
- Lift, transport, and place loads safely while rotating the boom.
- Work with suspended loads using safe lifting techniques.
- Manoeuvre safely in confined or uneven site conditions.
- Communicate clearly with slingers/signallers during lifting operations.
- Shut down, secure, and park the telehandler safely after use.

Assessment and Certification

Upon successful completion, delegates will receive an NPORS Operator Card for J7 – 360° Roto Telehandler, valid for 5 years or 2 years if they want to add CSCS logo.
