This course is ideal for operators working in environments such as warehousing, manufacturing, timber yards, and logistics, where long or awkward loads are handled and space efficiency is critical.
Course Content
Delegates will learn to:
- Understand operator roles, responsibilities, and health & safety legislation related to multi-directional lift trucks
- Identify the main components, controls, and functions of the Combi lift
- Conduct pre-use and post-use inspections and report any defects
- Understand weight capacities, load charts, and safe working limits
- Safely lift, carry, and place various load types, including long or wide items
- Operate the truck efficiently in multi-directional modes within confined spaces
- Maintain stability and control on different ground conditions and gradients
- Recognise hazards and maintain safe working distances from other vehicles and pedestrians
- Shut down and park the truck safely in accordance with site procedures

Course Duration
Novice Operator: Typically, 3 to 5 days
Experienced Operator / Refresher: 1 to 2 days
Duration may vary depending on candidate experience and class size.
Assessment
All candidates will complete:
- A theoretical knowledge test (verbal or written)
- A practical operating assessment assessing safe and competent truck operation
Successful participants will receive an NPORS Operator Card for N135 – Multi-Directional Lift Truck (Combi lift).
Entry Requirements
All candidates must be 18 years or older.
A good understanding of spoken and written English is required.
Delegates must be medically fit to operate industrial lifting equipment.
This course can also be delivered by one of our instructors that speak Russian, Polish, or Lithuanian.
Certification
Upon successful completion, trainees will be awarded an NPORS Operator Card (N135 – Multi-Directional Lift Truck / Combi lift), valid for 5 years from the date of issue.
