Course Content

- Operate the side loader safely in forward, reverse, and confined spaces
- Handle long and awkward loads safely and efficiently
- Load and unload vehicles or storage areas correctly
- Maintain good visibility and control while operating around other personnel and plant
- Recognise and manage potential site hazards
- Shut down, secure, and park the machine safely after use

Course Duration
Novice Operator: Typically, 3 to 5 days
Experienced Operator / Refresher: 1 to 2 days

Assessment
Each participant will complete:
A theoretical test (verbal or written) covering safety and operational knowledge
A practical assessment demonstrating competence in operating the side loader
Upon successful completion, operators will be awarded an NPORS Operator Card for N006 – Side Loader.
Entry Requirements
Candidates must be 18 years or older.
A good level of spoken and written English is essential.
Participants must be medically fit to operate lifting equipment safely.
This course can also be delivered by one of our instructors that speak Russian, Polish, or Lithuanian.
Certification
Delegates who successfully complete theory and practical assessments will receive an NPORS Operator Card (N006 – Side Loader), valid for 5 years from the date of issue or 2 years if they require to have CSCS logo.
