Delegates will learn to:

- Assess loads and apply correct slinging techniques using chains, slings, and other accessories
- Establish a safe and clear lifting area

- Direct lifting operations safely and efficiently to avoid collisions and hazards
- Recognise and respond to unsafe lifting situations

Course Duration
Novice Operator: Typically, 2 to 3 days
Experienced Operator / Refresher: 1 day
Duration may vary depending on prior experience and group size.
Assessment
Each participant will complete:
A theory assessment (written or verbal) to confirm understanding of lifting operations
A practical assessment demonstrating safe signalling and slinging operations
Successful delegates will be issued an NPORS Operator Card for N402 – Slinger/Signaller.
Entry Requirements
Candidates must be 18 years or older.
A good understanding of spoken and written English is required.
Delegates must be medically fit to participate in lifting operations safely.
This course can also be delivered by one of our instructors that speak Russian, Polish, or Lithuanian.
Certification
Upon successful completion of the course and assessments, candidates will receive an NPORS Operator Card (N402 – Slinger/Signaller), valid for 5 years from the date of issue or 2 years if they require to have CSCS logo.
